So World of Warcraft: Legion has been out for two months (or eight weeks, to be exact) and I have not done a single update to my blog site or my YouTube channel since.
At first, I thought I would be able to still keep up with "current events" while actively playing the new expansion, and was simply "whelmed" when I hit level cap on my first toon (my warrior of course). After that, it quickly got worse.. Knocking out as many world quests as possible on her was fun, still is honestly, but then I started the progress on my second toon, my paladin. After hitting level cap on her, things got even worse and it became almost impossible to gear them both and keep up on knocking out world quests. I get the world emissary quests done everyday, so I'm still at it.
And then the third level capped character happened and it all went to hell. I don't even have time to gather order hall resources on my mage, let alone knock out any world quests on her. I have to pick and choose what activities I'm going to finish each day instead of hustling through it like I did in Warlords of Draenor, where my limited gametime before work was usually spent knocking out all on my garrison stuff. Then using my time after work to do anything and everything else that could be done without being in an active raiding guild.
With Legion, there is just so much.. It quickly went from whelming to outrageously overwhelming.
THIS ISN'T A BAD THING. IN A SENSE.
What this means though.. Is that I'm going to focus on the game and my streaming instead of my blog. My current plan is to ride out the rest of this year, while actively working on the guides for 2017. That way when the events hit, it's a quick fix-up to add in new content that's been datamined and officially being added to the game and we can get right back to the game itself.
What this also means is that there is going to be a mighty long lull in updates that are WoW related on the blog. I'm still under the mindset that I can convert this blog into more of a gaming related blog instead of focusing entirely on World of Warcraft and while I have a copious amount of drafts for other games in my post-list, none of them are anywhere near complete, so the going isn't going.
We shall see. I -am- back to streaming though. Almost nightly, but rarely ever WoW. I doubt people want to tune in to a stream of me knocking out world quests and farming old raids on a daily basis, when they could be watching someone else running Mythic, Mythic+, and actual raids. I don't have the people in numbers to make any of that content happen without jumping into some random PUG that probably won't end well.
I am still currently working on a video to explain how awesome Legion is, I have enough footage to complete the video, I just haven't gotten down to actually recording the narrative audio that's going to lay on top of said footage.
But it's okay.. Because we'll see you all in 2017. Where we're going to be back up and running fulltime without missing a beat.
